How to Rip Narrow Boards on a Table Saw
I'm a little upset with the way this video was titled. I'm having a hard time getting through a 4-inch piece of wood and curves are always difficult for me. Neither of those topics were covered and that's exactly what your title promised me. Instead I got useful information on how a bandsaw works and how to keep my blade on track - but I renew that information and would not have chosen this video if the title had been honest about the subject
Can you use a food dehydrator on the lowest setting for this process?
is any purpose or benefit for some that i see the saw turning other direction

Can you use an airless sprayer for spraying polyurethanes?
Very good explanation. Thank you!
Such great information. Thank you!
Could I thin this the stain out like this to use with a spray gun?
Can polycrylic be used over polyurethane/stain?
Thank you for a nice explanation! Really helpful
Perfect for complete newbies like me
Looks like the lumber behind that sheetrock needed a laser plane to straighten it out.😆
why is my not mixing is all at the bottom of the jar and stuck together
Superb video ! I have struggled with this today so thank you. George U.K.
My problem is the stain is too thick in the bottom, it's been sitting for months since I stained our deck last year. I keep stirring but it's a thick gloppy thick stubborn mess.
What color was that?
I will have to turn my blade around. That would eliminate the excess smoke which was being produced and the offcuts from being thrown back at me. Thank You So Much.
Just checking 😊
This is a much more valuable video than the low number of subscribers would indicate. There are lots of important elements considered in this comparison. I want to redo a large table top (for 12 people), and I'm wondering if it is too much for my skill level and garage setup (however, it is an old table and we are not fancy people). This video does help my considerations a lot. Thank you! Now I'm off to your polyurethane v polycrylic video! (Note: HVLP is high volume, low pressure and it is polycrylic versus polyacrylic. Just FYI)
This is a nice informative video. One thing I noticed is that you are using am “Empire” square and from my experience those squares are not necessarily square. I tested my x-empire square to a Starret and to a Woodpecker square and found it to be inaccurate. This is just my opinion and thought I’d share.
What a great vidoes. Outstanding teacher and explanation. Thank you very much for making this video. Outstanding!
nice video.
I’ve learned so much from you today! Thank you….❤
Okay. I'm now confused. When I mount my saw blade in my table saw the teeth point towards me as they should. But the printing on my blades are all on the right hand side of the blade. Not on the left as you said. I just did a quick Google search and every single blade I could find has the printing on the right hand side of the blade with the teeth facing towards you. Did you accidentally say the wrong thing?
Interesting fact about shellac. Lol the food industry uses shellac to coat edibles like candy and other foods that require a smooth shiny coating.
Dated. Unuseful. Extremely boring
All the trim and moulding in my house is Red Oak & the man o'war semi gloss spar varnish really looks awesome on it, I use a air compressor & sprayer to apply at 80 psi & usually apply 3 coats, But one thing that wasn't mentioned is after the can has been opened I run the varnish thru a cheese clothe as I fill the sprayer
Great informative video. Thanks
Exactly what I looking for. Thank you.
Thanks for this!! Feel confident now ☝️
Well explained sir.
Thank you for sharing. What are the specs on the machine you are using (throat capacity, blade, etc.) thank you for your help
Thanks for your video, if you have not done so already make Jesus the Lord and Saviour of your life and repent of all your sins immediately, Study the KJV Bible to know more. Hell is real and you don't want to go there
5:00 You show us the rubbing compound. But what type of polisher do you use? And do you do this only after the final coat?
What about circular saw with a guide
Thanks for the video . Liked and subbed
Demonstrate edge to edge.... No one's coming here for face to face
Which are those stain colors?
Thanks!
Can I use water based poly over oil based stain on an interior piece?
Adjust the blade till its just slightly higher than the piece being cut. Inside of using your hand and and rip stick to hold the piece, use a a 2x4 or a 4 x4 to hold both pieces down. That way the wood will hold both pieces down at the same time and the 2x4 4x4 will be sacrificial and a lot safer.
The set screws for my fence loosened slightly (there is no lock screw for it) and i ended up warping my blade
Thank you very much for this explanation .
You are welcome

Great job explaining.
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful video. Been a long time since I used my table saw and had to make sure I had the direction right. Your explanation was perfect and better than all the others I watched. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
Reaching over a spinning blade is not safe in my opinion. Getting your fingers near a spinning blade is not safe either. An ounce of Prevention is worth a Pound of Cure. It is what is unseen or what is unplanned that causes accidents. S*** happens!
I have an unfinished magnolia wood handle on a Japanese chef knife. I would like to seal it, so I don’t have to constantly oil it. What type of varnish/lacquer would you recommend?
Thi is such a wonderful video. I just purchased a new PCS and I am going through the process of setting up my machine. The communication is so well paced, clear and complete. I am quite impressed.👌. I will be searching to see if there are some additional startup videos in here.
Glad it was helpful!
I'm just starting out with scroll sawing, these are some good tips, thanks!
You bet!
